The number of female MPs in the 7th Majlis (2004-2008) was reduced from 13 to 8 in the 8th Majlis (the current parliament), Aminzadeh said in an interview with Fars News Agency.

“In a developed country like Iran, we expect active presence of women in managerial positions and as lawmakers,” she added.
