Mothers are the sweetest gift from God to us. Mothers hold an honored place in most societies, and rightfully so given the positive influence they can have on their child’s life. Our mothers sacrifices for us, care for us, take our pains and are always there for us in times of difficulties, and this is something we should appreciate everyday and make her feel special.

Therefore, it shouldn't just be Mother's Day but we should make every day of their lives great by making her proud of ourselves. We should show her appreciation every day for whatever she has done for us and whatever she is doing and upbringing us in the best possible manner she could.

I love my children and I told them that often. I encouraged openness between us. I try to fulfill as many of their wishes as I could. I show them love and support without any expectation of reward.

As we celebrate Mother's Day today, I have some advises to my three daughters:

To Maryam,
I want you to embrace the past, cherish the present and look to ward the future.
Past failures should never dictate who you are today or where you are going. Success is a game.  In the game of life, the more you play the more you win. The more you win the more successfully you can play the game.  Always keep in mind that the game ends the same way for all of us, no matter what our score was. So take your time, enjoy it, and play with integrity.  Life is so precious!

To Mona,
Expecting your life to be a success is a confidence boosting activity. Never be afraid to fail because through failure comes success. Mistakes aren't always bad. Learn from them. Examine them. Relish them. If it was a bad mistake, own up to it, do what you can to fix it, and move on. No matter how smart or talented, you are going to make mistakes and experience failure at some point in your life.  Make good choices and make them happen. For everything happens for a reason, a reason to teach you and correct you and a reason to bring the strength in you.

Life is not perfect! And we all go through difficult times.  Don't let other people make the choices for you and don't let no one push you around.  Pursue your own dreams and follow your own heart. Don't make life choices based on what you think other people want you to do. Be independent and follow your dreams and you will live a good, happy life.

To Morva
Be strong. Be intelligent. Smile.
I have so many hopes and dreams for you. The world can be an amazing place. And the world can be a harsh place. I want you to reach for the stars. I want you to dream big and always be proud of who you are. Always believe in yourself.   Make a plan for attaining goals that you believe will make you happy. I don't want you to try to be perfect or better than someone else, because every one of us has their own characteristics. And trying to be "perfect" will only cause you to be unhappy. I just want you to do "your" very best!

Morva, you are beautiful and you will always be beautiful to me.
True beauty starts from the inside. Part of that internal beauty is intelligence.
Intelligence is not measured on how much you can memorize and spit out! It is measured on how you use the information you learned.  Reading opens up new worlds, opportunities, and develops your imagination. I am fine with you watching a little television, movies, and using the internet. However, books are better than the internet, it will fill your mind with imaginative thoughts.

Now I know that giving my child the best material things is not important; it’s the love, attention, and unique adventures that count!
