 ABARKOUH, Iran – An 83-year old man, named Amir Omidvar Panah, fathers a son whom he considers as a “gift of God” to his family.
Omidvar Panah, living in a village in the Abarkouh region of Yazd Province, first married at the age of 23. However his first wife, who died in 2001 after 50 years of marriage, failed to bear him children.
Omidvar Panah married his second wife about three years ago and now it is 16 days that his child, called Mohammad Esmaeil, is born.
Panah’s wife is 30 years old. She says despite the fact that her husband is too old but his spirit is “young” and has succeeded to provide a sweet life to her.
