Iran wins 10th gold in Paralympics

Batista Dos Santos of Brazil took the silver medal with a throw of 45.38m and Salem Raed Salem of Egypt earned the bronze with a throw of 47.90m
 
Khalvandi claimed Iran’s 10th gold medal in the Paralympics. Iran currently stands in 11th place in the rankings with 10 gold medals, 7 silvers, and 6 bronze medals.
 
The 2012 London Summer Paralympics opened in on August 29 and runs until September 9. The Paralympic Games is the world's second largest major international multi-sport event, involving athletes with a range of physical challenges.
 
Iran has sent 79 athletes, competing in 13 events, to the London Paralympics.
