.jpg) TEHRAN – Esteghlal football team played out a goalless draw against Fajr here at the Azadi Stadium on Friday.
Both teams had scoring chances in the match but neither could find the back of the net.
Esteghlal is 8th in the table with 13 points with one game in hand. Fajr moved up to third place with 15 points.
Elsewhere, Saipa moved to top of the standings table with 17 points by beating Paykan 2-1.
Mes defeated Zob Ahan 1-0, Aluminum was held to a 1-1 draw by Sanat Naft, Foolad edged Malavan 1-0, Damash lost to Rah Ahan 1-0 in its home game and Traktor Sazi pummeled Gahar 5-0.
Persepolis will face Sepahan on Sunday.
