.jpg) ABADAN – Esteghlal football team defeated Sanat Naft in Iran Professional League (IPL) on Wednesday.
Iranian giant defeated the Abadan based team 2-1 and moved to sixth place, two points behind leader Sepasi.
Rasoul Navidkia gave Sanat Naft a lead just two minutes into the match.
Rodrigo Tosi’s header equalized the match in the 35th minute and Fabio Januario scored Esteghlal second goal in the 58th minute with a long range shot.
Elsewhere, Foolad pummeled Paykan 5-0, Fajr Sepasi edged Traktorsazi 1-0 and Zob Ahan defeated Saipa 3-2.
Persepolis is scheduled to face Aluminum on Thursday.
