 TEHRAN - Persepolis football team defeated Aluminum Hormozgan in Iran Professional League (IPL) on Thursday.
Mehdi Mahdavikia scored the sole goal of the match in 30th minute in an empty stadium to pull his team out of crisis.
This was Persepolis’s second win in last 10 matches. Persepolis currently stands at 13th place with 10 points from 10 matches.
Elsewhere, Sepahan edged Malavan 2-0 and reached top of the table. Saba and Damash shared the points with a 3-3 draw, Gahar and Naft clash ended in goalless draw.
