.jpg) Iran opened the 2012 Asian Youth Girls Volleyball Championship with a stunning result against Australia on Friday.
The Iranian team beat powerful Australia in three successive sets (25-16, 25-14, 25-17). The team will play Japan on Saturday in Pool B.
A total of 13 teams have been divided into three pools of three and one pool of four teams.
The 2012 Asian Youth Girls Volleyball Championship is underway in Chengdu, China from October 12 to 20.
