.jpg) KERMAN – Persepolis football team suffered a defeat against Mes of Kerman in Iran Professional League (IPL) on Friday.
Manuel Jose’s team lost 2-1 to Mes and moved down to 14th place in the standing table.
Mostafa Shojaei netted a brace in 16th and 61st minutes. Persepolis captain Mehdi Mahdavikia scored just seconds before the break.
Elsewhere, Saipa edged Sanat Naft of Abadan and Rah Ahan lost 1-0 to Malavan in its home game.
On Thursday, Esteghlal beat Naft 2-1 in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium and moved up to second place, one point adrift of Tractorsazi at the top of the IPL table.
Sepahan suffered a heavy 4-1 home loss to Tractorsazi.
Damash defeated Gahar 1-0 in Rasht and Paykan was held to a 2-2 draw by Zob Ahan.
