| Iranian woman wins gold in West Asian Athletics Championship |

.jpg) Iran’s Javaher Zamani claimed the gold medal in the women’s triple jump in the 2nd West Asian Athletics Championship on Wednesday.
Zamani seized the gold with a jump of 12.03 meters. Her compatriot Samaneh Koohkan claimed silver with 11.38 meters.
In the men’s 110 meter hurdles, Milad Sayar won the silver medal with a time of 14.10 second.
This event takes place in Dubai from December 12 to December 16. A total of 11 countries, namely, the UAE, Iran, Bahrain, Lebanon, Syria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Palestine, Oman and Yemen participate at the competition.
Iran has participated in the tournament with 44 athletes.
