Iran comes 4th in Turkish wrestling tournament

c_330_235_16777215_0___images_stories_edim_13-2(142).jpgIranian Greco-Roman wrestling team finished in fourth place in the 2013 Vehbi Emre Golden Grand Prix tournament in Turkey.
 
In the tournament held in Ahmet Comert Sports Hall in Istanbul, Turkey, the Iranian wrestlers won five medals. 
 
Mohammad Karimi won the silver medal after being beaten by Rasul Chunayev of Azerbaijan in the final of the 66kg weight class.  
 
In the 84kg, Hossein Nouri defeated Turkish wrestler Saban Karatas and seized the bronze medal. Iranian wrestler Ali Gheitasi also won the bronze in the class. 
 
In the 55kg, Shirzad Beheshti Tala won the bronze medal.
 
Mehdi Nouri beat Atile Guzel of Turkey and claimed the bronze medal in 120kg.
 
Iran finished in fourth place with 39 points. Turkey won the title with 60 points, followed by Russia (53 points) and Belarus (40 points). 
 
A total of 10 countries took part in the two-day competition.
