|Important not to concede goal, Esteghlal coach says||
Amir Ghalenoei has made clear that Esteghlal’s priority on Wednesday is to not concede a goal to Buriram.
Esteghlal will face Buriram United of Thailand in the second leg of their AFC Champions League quarter-final.
The Thai Premier League leaders suffered a 1-0 defeat to its Iranian opponent in the first leg last month.
Khosro Heydari scored the only goal of the game in the second minute in front of a crowd of more than 90,000 fans in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
“I think our priority in the match should be not conceding a goal, however we are concentrating to score goal as well,” Ghalenoei said in the pre-match news conference.
“Buriram is a dangerous team but we are Esteghlal too and we want to win the AFC Champions League title. I think we can win the championship,” he added.
