|Iran’s Nematpour seizes gold in wrestling worlds||
Taleb Nariman Nematpour of Iran claimed the gold medal at the 2013 Wrestling World Championships in Budapest, Hungary on Saturday.
In 84kg final, Nematpour won the gold medal with a 5-3 victory over Saman Tahmasebi of Azerbaijan. Tahmasebi represented Iran at the Beijing 2008 Olympics.
The bronze medal went to Javid Hamzatou of Belarus and Viktor Lorincz of Hungary.
"I am very pleased with the gold since I tried my best to win the medal. I knew Saman and he is my best friend. We’ve already wrestled each other," the Greco-Roman said.
The result certainly continued what has already been a fine week for Iran as Nematpour won the nation's third gold medal after earlier freestyle victories for Hassan Rahimi in the 55kg and Reza Yazdani in the 96kg.
