|Rasoul Khadem elected chief of Iran’s wrestling federation||
TEHRAN – Rasoul Khadem, a former world champion of wrestling, was elected president of the National Wrestling Federation for a four-year term.
Khadem was elected in a meeting of the assembly of the national federation, gaining the majority of the votes.
Three candidates quit in favor of Khadem. The former Olympic medalist secured 37 votes out of 38 votes.
Khadem served as head coach of the Iranian national free-style wrestling team in the world contest 2012 in Budapest, Hangary.
He had undertaken caretaker of the National Wrestling Federation since last September.
