|Iran to play four friendlies in South Africa, official says||
TEHRAN - Mehdi Mohammad Nabi, the general secretary of the Iran Football Federation , said that country's football team will play four friendly matches in South Africa’s training camp.
The training camp has been scheduled to be held in April in the African country.
“Iran will play four friendly matches against the South African football clubs in the camp in its preparation for the 2014 World Cup,” Nabi said.
The Asian heavyweight will also play Guinea on March 5, Belarus on May 18 and Montenegro on May 26.
Carlos Queiroz’s team will also play a friendly on June 8 in Sao Paolo, Brazil against Trinidad and Tobago just before the start of the FIFA World Cup.
Iran has been drawn in Group F of the 2014 World Cup along with Nigeria, Argentina and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Iran will face Nigeria on June 16 in Curitiba’s Arena da Baixada.
