|Italian Serie A side Sassuolo shows interest in Iran keeper||
Iran goalkeeper Alireza Haghighi has been linked with a move to Serie A team Sassuolo, according to several reports in Italian media.
Robin Kazan goalkeeper who spent last season on loan at Sporting Covilhã, featured in all of Iran’s three group stage matches in World Cup conceding four goals.
Sassuolo goalkeeper Gianluca Pegolo is expected to miss the majority of Serie A season after undergoing surgery on a broken leg. Pegolo helped the Serie A minnow avoid relegation.
The Italian side officials are looking for a keeper in the transfer window and 26-year-old Iranian is their priority choice.
Haghighi has been linked with Portuguese newly-promoted club Penafiel earlier this month but visa issues and disagreement on the financial conditions are endangering the deal.
Haghighi still has two-year left on his contract with Rubin Kazan.
