Iran defeats Hong Kong in FIBA U18 Championships

Iran’s Mohammad Yousofvand led the scoring with 18 points. 
Iran started the campaign with a 132-43 victory over Kuwait and then defeated Kazakhstan 81-56. 
Iran, the bronze medallist at the last edition of the event, has been scheduled to play Japan and Chinese Taipei on Saturday and Sunday respectively. 
The 23rd FIBA Asia U18 Championship is the qualifying event for the 2015 FIBA U19 World Championship to be played at Crete, Greece.
The top three teams from the FIBA Asia U18 Championship will represent FIBA Asia at the 2015 FIBA U19 World Championship.
