Iran beats Japan in AVC Cup for Men

c_330_235_16777215_0___images_stories_edim_09-4(15).jpgThe Iranian volleyball team defeated Japan in straight sets (25–20, 25–14, 25–18) in the 4th AVC Cup for Men on Friday.
The Iranian team, who has already defeated Thailand (3-2), China (3-0) and Australia (3-1) in group stage, will play India in semifinals on Saturday. 
Elsewhere, South Korea will play host Kazakhstan. 
The competition, which serves also as Qualification Tournament for 2015 World League, will run until August 24 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
In the last three editions, Iran has won two titles in the 2008 and 2010 in Thailand and Iran respectively, under tutelage of Hossein Madani, who died of cancer on August 1.
