Iran football team was held to a scoreless draw by Ukraine’s Metalist Kharkiv in its training camp in Loipersdorf, Austria on Monday.
The Iranian team, who is gearing up for the 2014 World Cup qualifiers, failed to defeat the Ukrainian club.
Carlos Queiroz used two completely different lineups in the two halves of the first test match of his era as Iran coach, but rested all the U23 players as well as Mehrdad Oladi, who had just resumed training on Sunday after arriving in the camp a few days after the rest, according to Persianfootball.
Iran has been scheduled to play Madagascar in a friendly on July 17 in preparation for the 2014 World Cup qualifiers against the Maldives which will be held on July 23 and 28.
