Iran has been drawn alongside Italy, Senegal and Switzerland in the competition which will be held in Rome, Italy from 1 to 11 September. The draw ceremony was held on Tuesday in the presence of Giancarlo Abete, President of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) and Carlo Tavecchio, Vice-President of FIGC and President of the Lega Nazionale Dilettanti (LND). “Iran has been drawn in a tough group but we will try to qualify for the next stage,” director of Iran Beach Soccer Committee Reza Ali said. Groups Italy, Iran, Senegal, Switzerland CONMEBOL qualifier 2, El Salvador, Oman, Portugal CONMEBOL qualifier 3, Nigeria, Russia, Tahiti CONMEBOL qualifier 1, Japan, Mexico, Ukraine The winners and runners-up in each group will qualify for the knockout stages, with all games played on the beautiful beach of Ravenna.
