Iran’s Greco-Roman team crowned world champion

In the two-day competition held in Saransk, Russia, the Iranian team beat Turkey in the final game and won the championship. 
 
The Persians had previously defeated Azerbaijan, Belarus, and Russia 4-3, 5-2, and 4-3 respectively.
 
Hamid Sourian in the 55kg weight class, Omid Norouzi (60kg), Saeid Abdvali (66kg), Taleb Nematpour (84kg), and Davoud Gil-Neirang (96kg) defeated their Turkish opponents, and Hadi Alizadeh Pournia (74kg) and Amir Ghasemi (120kg) lost to them. 
 
South Korea finished in third place by defeating Azerbaijan 5-2.
