TEHRAN - Before the curtain rolled down at the 16th Asian Freestyle Wrestling Championships in New Delhi, Iran was certain to lift the trophy on Saturday.
Three golds of the 55, 66, and 84 kg snatched on June 7 seem plenty enough to present the world-class Iranian team the title one day earlier.
In Greco-Roman bouts, Iranians grabbed one gold, one silver, and one bronze in the three weights in Indira Gandhi Hall of New Delhi on Saturday, having a close competition with Kazakhs for the title.
The event started in the Indian capital on Friday and ends today.
