Ceremony Held in Brussels to Commemorate Imam Khomeini's Demise Anniversary
Two clerics delivered a speech on the great personality and achievements of the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Hojjatoleslam Moallam Zadeh, who had come from Holland to address the audience, spoke on the unflinching efforts of Imam Khomeini to liberate Iran from the clutches of Shah Pehlawi, the despotic US puppet, and for the unity of Muslims.
"If the people of Iran had not been liberated from the US domination, you can imagine what would have been the suffering of thepeople today," he noted. Hojjatoleslam Tarhini, the prayer leader of the Imam Reza mosque in Brussels, said Imam Khomeini's life was Islam itself. Speaking in Arabic, the Arab cleric said that Imam Khomeini was not afraid of anything or anybody. "His whole life was devoted to Islam and to please his creator only."
He quoted Imam Khomeini saying that if the one billion Muslims united today, no power on this globe can harmthem.
During the ceremony, attended by Arabs and Iranian residents of Brussels together with their families, eulogies was recited for Imam Khomeini and a film on the last days of his life was also shown.
