Turkish FM: Iran, Turkey in Full Agreement for Improving Ties

ANKARA Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued here on Wednesday night that Iran and Turkey have reached the level of mutual understanding necessary for expansion of bilateral relations. The statement said that mutual understanding between Tehran and Ankara has improved in the wake of the visit to Tehran of Mehmet Ezen, the director general of the Economic Affairs Department of Turkish Foreign Ministry. It said that an agreement was reached between Tehran and Ankara for raising volume of bilateral commercial transactions during Ezen's stay in Iran. It added that Ezen and the Iranian officials had in separate meetings exchanged views on the quality of boosting commercial and economic transactions, increasing volume of transactions and improving cooperation between their industrial and servicing sectors.

Ezen had during his two-day stay in Iran held talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi, Deputy Roads and Transportation Minister Mo'meni, Deputy Oil Minister Ali Majedi, Deputy Industries Minister Bahadorani and Deputy Commerce Minister Vahhaji. (IRNA)
