Officials Should Focus on Serving People: SAC Chief

TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency) -– During the Year of the Movement to Serve the People, declared by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, officials should focus their attention on serving the people, the chief judge of the Supreme Audit Court (SAC), Hojjatoleslam Qorban-Ali Dorri Najaf-Abadi, said here on Saturday.

If officials act in a lawful and rational manner, the people will be satisfied, even if their demands have not been met, Najaf-Abadi told the Mehr News Agency.

He went on to say that the people’s trust is the greatest asset of the government and warned of the danger of the collapse of the pillar of the people’s trust.

Emphasizing the importance of health and health care, Najaf-Abadi said that if officials do not attend to people’s health problems, the people will become disappointed and will lose their patience.

He added that communicating in a kind manner with patients is the best way for doctors and nurses to serve the people.

In conclusion, he said that municipalities are the central axes for providing services to the nation and called on officials to serve the people energetically and to pay more attention to their needs and desires.
