KUWAIT (IRNA) -- Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SAIRI) Seyed Abdelaziz Hakim strongly rejected the U.S. accusations concerning Iran's interference in the Iraqi domestic affairs.
In an interview with the Kuwaiti-based daily Ar-Ra'i al-Aam published Saturday, he said the Iraqi Governing Council rejects such allegations. However, such accusations are nothing new, Hakim reiterated.
Some terrorist groups are trying to assassinate Iraqi Shiite officials, especially those who enjoy special social and political status, he added.
The Zionist regime has no presence in Iraq, Hakim said, adding that the SAIRI decisively stands against any move to open Iraqi doors to Israel.
