Vatican Hails Iran’s Peaceful Nuclear Policies

VATICAN CITY (IRNA) -- Vatican expressed its ultimate support for Iran’s peaceful intentions in voluntarily suspending uranium enrichment activities.

Vatican’s Deputy foreign minister in a meeting with Iran’s ambassador to the country Mostafa Boroujerdi here Tuesday hailed Iran’s move and termed it as a step towards consolidating world peace.

He also asked the ambassador to officially reflect the positive attitudes of Vatican in this regard to Iranian officials.

Boroujerdi outlined Iran’s policies which dismiss any form of production of nuclear arms.

He also stressed Iran’s right for peacefully using nuclear energy and cooperating with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
