Tehran, Tokyo to Cooperate in Small, Medium Enterprises
Iran’s major concern in its forth five-year Economic Development Plan is job-creation, Khamooshi said in an official meeting with the Japanese Ambassador Taki Kasokavamura and added we will do our best to uproot unemployment.
Petrochemicals, information technology (IT), electronics, and textiles are among the most economical grounds for Iranian and Japanese companies, he added.
He also referred to Iran’s strategic geopolitics and said Iran can serve as an economic conduit to the region which is in its early stages of economic development. Iranian and Japanese companies can cooperate in Iraq reconstruction under some joint venture agreement, official said.
For his part, Japanese Ambassador Taki Kasokavamura said Japanese Institutions have amicable relations with the state-run companies in Iran. “We want to boost our relations with private economic institutions and companies.”
He referred to Japan's investment in South Pars project, and called it as a starting point for Japan’s economic activities in Iran’s oil, gas, and petrochemical industries.
Management training and mining account for lion's share of Japan's cooperation with Iran's state-run companies, Kasokavamura added. RN/IS END MNA
