TEHRAN -- At least 20 movies from the 24th Fajr International Film Festival will be shown in Mashhad, the secretary of the Fajr International Film Festival in Mashhad announced on Monday.

24th Fajr International Film Festival (Tehran) secretary Reza Dad and officials of the Khorasan Razavi Culture and Islamic Guidance Department have signed an agreement for the screening of the films, Hossein Mesgarani added.

Ten films from the competition section, seven from the non-competition section, and three from the international section of the festival, which will be held in Tehran from January 20 to 30, are to be screened in Mashhad, he stated.

He explained that each film will be screened three times in Mashhad, and if any is not sent on time or has technical problems, it will be replaced by another.

Mashhad will host the Fajr International Film Festival from January 21 to 30.
