TEHRAN -- Russian author Anton Chekhov’s play “The Cherry Orchard” directed by Victor Galcheoko will be staged in the international section of the 24th Fajr International Theater Festival.

The play is about a wealthy family that loses its beloved cherry orchard and estate to a man of the rising middle class. The orchard is to be destroyed due to a construction process.

The 24th Fajr International Theater Festival will be held January 20 to 29 in Tehran.
