Non-oil commodity export surpasses the 4th Plan’s target by 103%

TEHRAN – Non-oil exports hit $7b figure in the first nine months of the year (March 21-December 21, 2005), materializing over 103% of anticipated $6.6b in the 4th Socioeconomic and Cultural Development Plan for the period.

The exports include various non-oil industries as well as mineral sector. The quantitative goals envisaged in the 4th Plan in the said sectors for the year, have so far experienced 15.2 million tons of exports at the achieved figure, indicating 24.1% and 27.4% growth in weight and value respectively compared to the same period last year. The luggage trade at the border points comprises about $481m of the 7b.

It is expected that non-oil exports to realize 108.4% of the projected goals by yearend.
