50 films screened on first day of Fajr festival

TEHRAN – A total of fifty Iranian and foreign feature-length and short films were screened in Tehran on Friday, which was the first day of the 24th Fajr International Film Festival.

“Workers Are Busy” (Mani Haqiqi), “Slowly” (Maziar Miri), “Stars Becoming a Star” (Fereidun Jeirani), “Ferdows Park-5 pm” (Siamak Shaqayeqi), “It’s Winter” (Rafi Pitz), and “Offside” (Jafar Panahi), “How Much You Want to Cry” (Shahed Ahmadlu), “Time Stands Still” (Alireza Amini), “Abraham, the Prophet” (Mohammadreza Varzi), “Seven Colors” (Maziar Mohammadinejad), and “Kilos of Date for the Funeral” (Saman Salur) were some of the Iranian films screened on the first day.

“Zozo” (Sweden, Denmark, and Britain), “House of Flying Daggers” (China), “A Family” (South Korea), “Hidden” (France- Japan), and “The Jacket” (Germany-United States) were some of the foreign films that were shown.

The 24th Fajr International Film Festival will continue until January 30.
