Seminar to review private sector’s approaches to Iraq’s reconstruction

TEHRAN – A seminar will be held in the Iranian city of Kermanshah to review various approaches to be adopted by Iranian private sector for participation in the reconstruction of Iraq.

Iranian economic firms should take more serious and professional measures to be able to enhance their share of the Iraqi markets, noted an Iranian trade official.

Referring to holding a seminar on adopting and implementing a strategy for participation in Iraqi markets, Me’raj Sohrabi, chairman of Chamber of Commerce of Kermanshah added, the seminar would play a very important role in the expansion of Iran’s non-oil exports.

The seminar is sponsored by Iran’s Ministry of Commerce, Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI), Governorship of Kermanshah Province, Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce as well as many other related organizations. A number of Iranian and Iraqi trade officials are expected to attend the meeting.

He also commented on holding a trade exhibition in Malaysia in the near future by the chamber of commerce of this western Iran border city and said the exposition would be opened in September this year. RA/
