TEHRAN – Iranian midfielder Javad Nekunam signed a two-year contract with the Primera Liga side Osasuna Wednesday.

He joined the Spanish team on a free transfer from Al Sharjah of the United Arab Emirates.

Nekunam, 25, played for Iran at the 2006 World Cup finals in Germany.
