TEHRAN -- Mahbubeh Palangi, the former public relations manager of the Iranian Academy of Arts, has been appointed as the curator of Tehran’s Palestine Museum of Art, ISNA reported on Sunday.

The museum was designed by the Iranian Academy of Arts director Mir Hossein Musavi.

The structure is an old building located next to the Saba Artistic and Cultural Complex in central Tehran.

The interior design is inspired by the Iranian style of architecture, utilizing the same elements used in the Saba complex.

The Palestine Museum of Art was temporarily opened on April 17 during the Qods International Congress with an exhibition of artworks by Palestinian artists.

The museum was later closed for additional renovation, which is now complete, and it is scheduled to open in the near future.

The museum’s board of trustees consists of fifteen Palestinian artists residing in different countries.

The Palestine Museum of Art is located on Mozaffar St., near Felestin Square.
