BEIRUT (IRNA) -- A reporter of the Islamic Republic News Agency's (IRNA) Beirut bureau was wounded during clashes between Lebanese soldiers and the Palestinian Jond-ul-Sham group Thursday morning.

Amin Shoumer, who was at the scene of the clashes outside a Palestinian refugee camp in southern Lebanon to cover the incident, received wounds in his eyes.

The clashes between Lebanese troops and members of the Jond-ul-Sham group took place in the impoverished neighborhood of Taameer, just outside Ain Ul-Halweh camp, near the southern port city of Sidon.

Some 400,000 Palestinian refugees live in 12 camps in Lebanon.
