Silence of Muslim pens is unforgivable: poet
In Lebanon and Palestine, the hearts and bodies of Muslims resist against the arrogance until they die, but the pens are silent, he told the Mehr News Agency on Friday.
“Poetry has always played a major role in conveying humanitarian and Islamic values, and the name of an Arab poet like al-Farazdaq (Hammam ibn Ghalib Abu Firas, commonly known as al-Farazdaq) has always shined in the poetry of the Shia,” he noted.
Pointing to the recent events in Lebanon, he said, “Lebanon and Palestine are being directly destroyed by the global arrogance, but they are resisting against the Zionists’ aggression. “Each word and each poem by Muslim poets is like a poisoned arrow striking the deteriorating bodies of the global arrogance and the Zionists, and poets of Muslim countries must have an active presence.”
He criticized Islamic cultural organizations for their inactivity, noting that nothing is being done specifically for Palestine and Lebanon in the field of poetry, while the global arrogance is making use of art and literature to achieve its goals.
