Odom leads Lakers past Bulls as Bryant struggles

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) -- Lamar Odom poured in 23 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to guide the Los Angeles Lakers to an 82-72 win over the Chicago Bulls on Sunday.

Andrew Bynum also contributed a double-double to the win, hitting for 12 points and 13 boards, while Kobe Bryant, last season's leading scorer, continued his spluttering start to the campaign with just 18 points.

Even with Bryant still searching for top gear, however, the Lakers still had enough firepower to dispose of the struggling Bulls, who slumped to their fourth straight defeat.

Andres Nocioni had a productive night for Chicago, scoring 30 points including 6-of-9 from three-point range, but Luol Deng was the only other Bulls players to hit double figures with 13 points.

The Bulls have won just one of seven games away from home this season.

Los Angeles broke open a tight contest with a 12-1 run to go up 74-63 with just over four minutes remaining in the final quarter, then held on to post their third consecutive victory and improve their record to 7-3.
