TEHRAN -- An Iranian music band is scheduled to give concerts from Jan. 11 to 16 in Bombay and New Delhi to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Iran-India relations in cultural and art sectors.

Hamid Sokuti, Saman Rasuli, Ramin Jazayeri, Arash Kamvar, Farid Kheradmand, and Gholamreza Rezaii are the members of the band dispatched by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in collaboration with the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) and Niavaran Artistic Creations Foundation.

Over 50 publishers line up for Tehran Book Fair

TEHRAN -- More than 50 foreign publishers have registered for the 2007 Tehran Book Fair to be held in April.

The publishers are mostly from the U.S., Germany, and Britain.

The registration runs until Feb. 28.

Iran to hold Cinema, Semiology Conference

TEHRAN -- Iranian Academy of Arts is to hold Cinema and Semiology Conference on Jan. 10.

Professors Amir-Ali Nojumian, Hamidreza Sha’iri, Babak Moin, and Farzan Sojudi are some of the lecturers to participate in the event at the Cinematheque Hall of Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art (TMCA).
