RASHT - According to a recent State Inspectorate Organization (SIO) report, construction of Gilan’s Rural Heritage Museum Project on 200 hectares of Saravan’s Forest Park was begun without the permission of the Gilan Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Department.
Through the Gilan SIO office’s efforts, the project, which would have destroyed a vast section of Gilan’s forests, was halted by the Gilan Department for the Management of Natural Resources.
Seventeen hectares of Gilan’s Forest Park has been allocated to the rural heritage museum on the condition that no harm is done to the forest and ecosystem.
