Yemeni FM says security of Iran, Arab world interconnected

TEHRAN (IRNA) -- In a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Manuchehr Mottaki, Yemeni Foreign Minister Abu Bakr Abdallah al-Qirbi said here on Wednesday that the security of Iran and Arab world are connected.

Al-Qirbi stressed the constructive role of Iran in the Middle East in particular and the Islamic world in general.

Underlining the need for unity in the Islamic world in confronting the challenges facing Islamic states, he called for solidarity among the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) member states.

Underlining the brotherly ties between Iran and Yemen, he declared his country's readiness for expansion of bilateral relations.
