Defense minister leaves for Tajikistan

TEHRAN (FNA) -- Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Mostafa-Mohammad Najjar left Tehran for Tajikistan on Sunday at the head of a high-ranking delegation.

During his three-day visit which will take place at the invitation of Tajik Defense Minister Sherali Khayrulloyev, Najjar and his entourage will meet with senior defense and political officials and visit the military centers of Tajikistan.

Expansion of defense ties, especially in grounds of training, border guard training and technical and engineering areas as well as a study of proper ways to expand regional peace, stability and security are considered among the main goals pursued by Najjar's visit to Tajikistan.
