Kuwait, Tehran have similar views on regional security: official
The views on regional security of officials of the Iranian armed forces are quite similar to those of Kuwait’s top military commanders, and the defense ministers and the chairmen of the joint chiefs of staff of the two countries have held fruitful talks, he told IRNA on the eve of Iran’s Army Day. The Iranian military attache considered the Islamic Republic of Iran's relations with Kuwait "satisfactory and improving at all fields", arguing, "The signing of a recent security letter of agreement between the two countries that was later on ratified at two countries' Parliaments is the best sign for this improving trend." Colonel Azar-Bahram focusing on Army Day, reiterated, "The IRI Army is among the strongest armies in the Middle East, thanks to the passage of 28 flourishing years from the age of the glorious Islamic Revolution, and the invaluable experience of the eight year defense against the Iraqi army." He reiterated, the "Iranian Armed Forces dedicated 48,000 red tulips (martyrs), tens of thousands of war disabled veterans, and about as much freed POWs to safeguard the achievements of our glorious revolution and the sovereignty of our dear Islamic Republic of Iran."
Announcing that the entire required training of the Iranian armed forces is arranged by the IRI Army, as well as the universities, colleges, and academic centers affiliated to it, he announced the country's readiness to enroll military students from the region's Islamic countries. The Iranian military attache referring to the advanced military industries of the Iranian Defense and Armed Forces Logistics Ministry, said, "Today the Iran’s Air Force is equipped with a huge fleet of fighter jets, various kinds of bomber planes, and helicopters, attack and reconnaissance aircraft, while the Army has all types of advanced tanks, armored vehicles, missiles, and bombs." He added, "The IRI Navy, too is now equipped with Iranian made submarines, and all types of advanced war vessels equipped with modern radar systems made by the Army Industries." Colonel Azar-Bahram stressing the peaceful approach of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said, "Iran has throughout its history never launched an attack against any country and the Iranians have always been a peace-loving nation." He reiterated, the "presence of outsider forces in the Persian Gulf is among the factors disturbing regional security, and the only way to strengthen security in region is formation of a regional security system among Muslim countries in the region."
