Iran’s forex reserves growing

TEHRAN (PIN) – Iran’s foreign currency reserves reached 20.473 billion dollars by March 21, 2007, with the private sector receiving more banking facilities.
One of the most important decisions in Iran’s economic history was the setting up of a foreign currency fund in 2000, Fars news agency reported.A total of 5.9 billion, 2.1 billion, 5.9 billion, 5.7 billion, 1.4 billion, 13.2 billion, and 21.7 billion dollars were funneled into the country’s foreign currency deposits in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2005 respectively.
The above figure shows that the amount of foreign currency remitted to the forex reserves has taken an upward trend
