Lawmakerlauds improvement of security on borders

TEHRAN (IRNA) -- Head of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Borujerdi said here that security on Iranian borders has improved a lot over the past two years.
Borujerdi told reporters that absolutely security of citizens nationwide is of equal importance for the Islamic system of government.He said the neighboring states can greatly contribute to boosting security on borders and bringing factors of insecurity under control.
He then referred to recent terrorist events in southeastern Sistan-Baluchestan province and said such events take place due to Iran's long borders with Afghanistan and Pakistan and due to presence of al-Qaeda and Taliban in those countries.
""What's of importance is that we can guarantee security on borders thanks to sufficient amount of credit allocated for the purpose by Majlis,"" he added.
Calling any act that might endanger security ""unjustified"", Borujerdi said due to the same reason, security on borders is of special significance for Iran
