Court couldnot prove culpability over C-130 air disaster: judge

TEHRAN (IRNA) -- No evidences were found to prove culpability in case of an air crash which took place on December 6, 2005, judge of Tehran military court Mohammad Movahed said on Wednesday.
Military transport plane, Hercules C-130 carrying over 100 reporters and cameramen to a military exercise site, struck a building in southern Tehran shortly after takeoff from airport and burst into flames killing all on board including the pilot and several others passing around the building.He told reporters that the court needs firm evidences to hold the suspects accountable, but, in case of C-130 air disaster the court could not substantiate the charges against suspects.
Movahed said that 15 sessions of court hearings were held against eight suspects in the case, but, the court could not substantiate any negligence, sabotage or ignoring the procedure in the case of the disaster.
He said that the court required the Air Force of the Army to pay compensations to the bereaved families of the victims.
