TEHRAN -- The Iranian nation is proud of President Mahmud Ahmadinejad’s address at the United Nations General Assembly, Majlis Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel said here on Wednesday.
“The president delivered the Islamic Republic’s message of peace and amity to the world, and his courageous speech at the UN General Assembly brought the Iranian nation glory and pride,” Haddad-Adel told MPs at the beginning of a parliament session. The president bravely and frankly defended the Iranian nation’s rights in his speeches at Columbia University and the UN General Assembly, he observed.
In his successful appearance at Columbia, Ahmadinejad gave an appropriate response to Columbia University President Lee Bollinger and the insulting behavior of the Zionists, he pointed out.
With his logical reasoning on the Palestinian issue and Iran’s nuclear dossier, the president delivered the Iranian nation’s rational message to the international community, Haddad-Adel said.
Ahmadinejad’s trip to the United States foiled all the efforts to prevent him from delivering the country’s message, he noted, adding that the Iranian president was biggest winner and the warmongers were the biggest losers
