Iranian mariners’ song composed for IRIB

TEHRAN -- On the occasion of World Maritime Day and in order to honor Iranian mariners, Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting commissioned the composition of a song called “Shatt-e Khodaii” (Divine River).

The song is inspired by Iranian-Islamic identity, classic music and literature of Persia as well as heroic and territorial sovereignty concepts. The symphonic orchestra of IRIB has performed the song.
Hassan Riahi one of the luminaries of the country in the field of music writing has composed the song with cooperation of the Ports and Shipping Organization.
He has also composed the national anthem of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Mohammadreza Qanbari and Alireza Qorbani are respectively the poet and singer of the song
