Ali Hatami’s “Masnavi Manavi” on screen at Iran’s Film Museum

TEHRAN -- The TV series of the late director Ali Hatami entitled “Masnavi Manavi” is being screened at the Film Museum of Iran until November 2.
The series depicts six stories by Molana Rumi produced for TV in black and white and cast with the actors Jamshid Mashsayekhi, Saeid Amir-Soleimani and Abbas Maghfurian.------Operetta “Physician of Love” on stage at the Honar Cultural Center
TEHRAN -- Performances of the operetta “Physician of Love” by director Babak Mohammadi are being staged at the Honar Cultural Center beginning from Friday.
The central theme of the show is the story of Rumi’s “The King and the Handmaiden”. It will be staged until November 2 at the center located on Arasbaran St., Seyyed Khandan neighborhood.
In addition, the band “Fihi Ma Fih”, conducted by Saeid Nayeb-Mohammadi, is giving concert performances during Rumi week (Oct.26-Nov.2).
Various singers from Iran, Armenia, and Syria will be accompanying the band.
