Iranian calligrapher’s works on display at Hermitage Museum, St. Petersburg.

TEHRAN -- Iranian calligrapher Mohammad Ehsaii’s latest artworks are currently on display at the exhibition named “The Dance of the Quill and Ink Contemporary Art of the Middle East” which is being held at the State Hermitage Museum of Saint Petersburg until December 9.
The exhibition is presenting the first public display of forty works by six celebrated artists and calligraphers from the Middle East including a collection by Mohammed Ehsaii.--------Hamsaz band to give concert at Rudaki Hall
TEHRAN -- The Hamsaz band will be giving performances of setar concerts on November 22 and 23 at the Rudaki Hall.
Leader of the band, Masud Sho’ari told MNA that the performances will commence with his improvisation of some pieces and afterwards the band will play some traditional Iranian tasnifs.
------Gharibpur to construct WAP website
TEHRAN -- Behruz Gharibpur, head of the high council of the World Association of Puppeteers (WAP) is to put the association’s latest news, articles and activities on a website.
“We decided to run a website to share WAP news and activities during our last meeting which was held in Prague and I was selected as its head,” he told Mehr News Agency.
WAP aims to bring together people from all over the world through the art of puppetry and to educate and help puppeteers living in developing countries.
---------------“The Sun Shines on All” to be shown at Belarus festival
TEHRAN -- Abbas Rafei’s “The Sun Shines on All” will be screened at the 14th Minsk International Film Festival Listapad which will open on November 17 in Belarus.
“The Sun Shines on All” tells the story of two girls, belonging to different religious faiths, who are both searching for truth. The film was awarded at the Religion Today Film Festival which was held in Italy in October.
---------Production license of Mollaqolipur’s last film to be displayed at FMI
TEHRAN -- The production license of the late Rasul Mollaqolipur’s last planned credit “Evening of the Tenth Day” has been submitted to the Film Museum of Iran (FMI).
Mollaqolipur died in March 2007. He had intended to begin shooting “Evening of the Tenth Day” in April. The producer of the film Manuchehr Mohammadi recently assigned Mojtaba Raii as the film’s new director.
